Marinated Fresh Tuna Nigiri Sushi

Tuna sashimi was on sale, and I couldn't decide whether to eat it as it is, or make a marinated tuna rice bowl That's how I came up with this recipe . I'm proud to recommend this delicious dish!!!


Sashimi grade maguro (lean tuna)
1 slice (as needed)
Sushi Rice
as needed
*The marinating sauce:
*Soy sauce and sake
2 tablespoons each
1 tablespoon
*Green onions
to taste
to taste


1. Combine the soy sauce, sake, mirin, and green onions to make the marinating sauce. Slice the tuna into adequate sizes for a nigiri sushi. Marinate the sliced tuna in the sauce for about 30 minutes in the fridge.
2. Take sushi rice and gently squeeze into round shapes. Top with wasabi, and then place the marinated tuna on top. Done!

Since I'd never made nigiri sushi at home, I wanted to give it a try. The dining table looked festive with these nigiri sushi .
