Tortillas with Buckwheat Flour

Tortillas with Buckwheat Flour

I made these tortillas to go with chili con carne.
The buckwheat taste is simple and the texture is chewy.

Buckwheat (soba) flour
100 g
Bread flour
100 g
a small amount
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
Lukewarm water
120 ml to 150 ml

1. Combine the buckwheat flour, bread flour, and salt in a bowl. Add the lukewarm water a little at a time, and form into a ball.
2. Wrap in plastic wrap, and let sit for a while.
3. Roll into a roughly 2- to 3-cm thick tube, then divide into 12 sections. Flatten out into thin, round pancakes, then grill both sides in a frying pan.

Story Behind this Recipe

Tortillas with buckwheat flour sounded good, so I gave it a try.
They turned out simple.
