My Favorite Meatball Soup

This is really easy! The soup is thickened, and really warms you up. Try this soup over rice the next morning for breakfast!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Ground pork
300 g
Sesame seeds (white or black)
a lot
Chinese cabbage
Shiitake mushrooms
✿ Soy sauce
about 3 tablespoons
✿ Dashi stock granules
about 1 teaspoon
about 2 tablespoons
about 600 ml


1. Chop up the cabbage roughly. Remove the stem ends of the shiitake mushrooms, and cut in a cross shape in the caps
2. Add the sesame seeds to the ground pork, mix lightly and form into balls.
3. Bring the water to a boil in a pan, add the meatballs and simmer while skimming off the scum.
4. Add the ✿ ingredients, cabbage and shiitake mushrooms to the pan, and simmer over low heat. Add the katakuriko dissolved in water at the end to finish.
