Put the eggs and the 100 ml of water in the frying pan, put the lid on, and turn the heat to high. Turn it down to low when it starts to steam, and leave to cook for 3-4 minutes.
Remove from the heat, leave the lid on, and let the eggs cook on residual heat for 5 minutes to finish.
To make a soft-boiled egg, remove it from the pan right after Step 1. If you'd prefer it hard boiled, leave it for 10 minutes after removing from the heat. The egg in the photo was left for 10 minutes.

Story Behind this Recipe
Anything, from vegetables to pasta, can be boiled in a small amount of water in a frying pan with a lid. So I wondered if I could boil an egg this way too.
It doesn't matter how many eggs you use, you only need 100 ml of water. The time it takes to boil will depend on the strength of the heat, but you can extend the time it takes to cook in the residual heat for as long as you like. If you leave it too long, the egg will go lumpy, so be careful.)
