Pan-Fried Okra with Ginger Marinade

The ginger really brings out the flavor of this Japanese-style marinade.

Ingredients: 4 servings

2 packs
Grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
1 1/2 tablespoons
Vegetable oil
1 1/2 tablespoons


1. Wash the okra and remove the stems.
2. Combine the ingredients listed from the ginger down to the vegetable oil and add a pinch of salt.
3. Sauté the okra in a frying pan (don't use any oil).
4. Add Step 2 to the cooked okra and mix together. Stir it occasionally as it chills completely in the refrigerator.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to make something that could be made quickly as soon as I get home and uses a marinade that can be left to sit and uses seasonal okra.
