Richly Seasoned Tofu with Minced Meat

A hint of butter imparts a rich flavor to this meat and tofu dish.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Minced pork and beef blend
120 g
Tofu (firm)

Onion
1/2
●Water
50 ml
●Soy sauce
50 ml
●Mirin
50 ml
●Sugar
1/2 tablespoon
Butter
1 piece

Steps

1. Cut the tofu into 8 pieces and onions into wedges.
2. Cook the minced meat until browned (no need to oil the pan).
3. Add onions and ● ingredients, cover the pot once it comes to a boil on medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add tofu and boil for another 5 minutes, pouring the broth over the tofu a few times.
5. To finish, add a pat of butter and flip the tofu blocks without breaking it. Simmer until the liquid has mostly evaporated.
6. Garnish with chopped scallions if you prefer.
