Creamy Seafood Gratin with Okara

This healthy and filling gratin is so creamy that you won't believe it contains okara.

Ingredients: 1 gratin dish (18 cm diameter)

Fresh okara
50 g
Frozen mixed seafood
150 g
Milk
2/3 cup (160 ml)
Onion
1/2
Salt and pepper
dash each
Easy-melt cheese
1 slice
Parsley
a pinch

Steps

1. Mince the onion, then stir-fry in butter. Once the onion is soft, add the mixed seafood and continue to stir-fry.
2. Add the okara and when it starts to crumble apart, pour in the milk and season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Transfer the mixture to a gratin dish, and sprinkle some cheese and parsley over the top. Then bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 180°C. Once the cheese has turned golden brown, it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

My husband hates okara, but I wondered if I could get away with using it in his favorite creamy foods. I didn't tell him that this gratin contained okara, and it looks like he didn't notice.
