Ham & Mayonnaise Bread

Ham & Mayonnaise Bread

The combination of mayonnaise and ham is outstanding!
You can make this easily.

Bread (strong) flour
200 g
20 g
1 teaspoon
70 ml
Lukewarm water
60 ml
Instant dry yeast
1 teaspoon
15 g
to taste
6 slices
to taste
Egg for the glaze
as needed

1. Refer to "Nanae77's" bread dough recipe and complete up to Step 18 until the rest time after the first rising. Separate the dough into 6 sections.
2. Gently punch the dough to release the gas. Place the dough on a floured surface and spread it out until just a bit larger than the circumference of the ham. Place the ham on top and tightly roll it up. Close the seam.
3. Put the seam on top and cut in half (refer to photo). Deeply cut the cut end vertically with scissors and open it about 160°. Place on a baking tray leaving space in between each piece. (second rising: about 25 minutes)
4. This is what it looks like when cut. When it is done rising, coat with egg and top with mayonnaise and cheese. Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.

Story Behind this Recipe

I made this for my husband who enjoys bread on the side.
