Take the skin off the chicken breast and cut it into 1-2 cm wide strips. Season with the Krazy Salt and pepper. Cut the bacon into 1-2 cm wide pieces, and slice the onion thinly. Chop the green onion.
Put the butter in the frying pan and heat. Sauté the chicken and onion over medium heat, adding the bacon a bit later.
When the chicken is cooked through and the onions are softened, turn down the heat to low and add the flour. Sauté until it's no longer floury.
Add the milk little by little, mixing well between additions.
Add the cream cheese and mix in.
Season with Krazy Salt and pepper, add the green onions and mix together well.
Use as a sandwich filling using pita bread for instance, or just put it on a serving plate and eat with rice. It should be good as a rice bowl topping too.
I recommend wrapping it in tortillas! Please try my tortilla recipe too (Recipe ID: 346346).
Story Behind this Recipe
This is my second re-creation of items available at the food court in Costco supermarkets, following the "Baked Bulgoli". This time it's "Baked Chicken," a dish of chicken with tons of white sauce in a huge piece of bread. That dense bread seemed too hard to re-create so I just use tortillas.
If you don't have any Krazy Salt, use regular salt and pepper, and some garlic powder if you have it.
