Easy Dry Curry using Curry Roux

Easy Dry Curry using Curry Roux

This is a super easy dry curry using store-bought curry roux. Add a lot of vegetables and beans and it will fill you up!

Ingredients: 3 servings

Combined ground beef and pork
200 g
10 g
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Vegetables of your choice (e.g. aubergine)
appropriate amount
Frozen mixed vegetables
50 g
Canned beans
70 g
100 ml
Soup stock granules
1/2 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
Japanese curry roux
1 block (1 serving's worth)

1. Finely chop the onion, and mince the other vegetables into 5mm~1cm cubes.
2. Heat butter in a frying pan, add onions and season with salt and pepper. Brown the onion slowly over low~medium heat.
3. Add other vegetables, add ground meat, then fry further.
4. Add water, soup stock granules and ketchup and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat, add curry roux and stir well.
5. Add frozen mixed vegetables and simmer for a little while. Add the mixed beans and stir well. Then it's done.
6. Transfer to a serving plate. It will be more delicious if you add a boiled egg/fried egg/soft poached egg.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is my family recipe for an easy dry curry, which can be made without curry powder or garam masala.
