Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce (or tonkatsu sauce)
*Soup stock cube
1/2 large cube
Olive oil (or vegetable oil)
Blend all the vegetables in a food processor. If you don't have a processor, just finely chop them.
Heat some olive oil in a frying pan and fry the meat. Add the vegetables from Step 1 and sauté.
Add the flour and gently mix. Add the whole tomatoes, 200 ml of water, the soup stock cube, ketchup, sauce and sugar, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Season with salt, and it's done.
If you'd prefer it a little thicker, add some more flour.
Story Behind this Recipe
I tried making this with what I had in my kitchen, and it turned out really nice. You can also pour this sauce on rice, top it with cheese and heat it in the microwave. It's nice with other kinds of mushrooms or bell peppers.
It's a really basic point, but boil the pasta in salted water.
