Sweet Tamagoyaki Rolled Omelette with Dashi

Fluffy with dashi soup stock. From children to adults, everyone likes this sweet-flavoured tamagoyaki. It's perfect for bentos.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Egg
1
Dashi (soup stock)
1 tablespoon
Sugar
1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil
as needed

Steps

1. Beat the egg in a bowl. Add the dashi and the sugar, then mix.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a tamagoyaki pan. When heated well, pour in 1/2 of the egg mixture.
3. When it's half cooked, roll it over towards you.
4. Push it over to the other side, and pour the rest of the egg mixture in the open space. Again, when it's half cooked, roll it over towards you.
5. Place the roll joint-side down, and fry a bit.
6. Cut into 3 pieces, and it's done.

My family's tamagoyaki in bento has a sweet flavour. I've loved this flavor since I was a child.
