Fluffy Natto Fried Rice

Fluffy Natto Fried Rice

Using this method, you can easily make airy and crumbly fried rice!

Ingredients: 2 light servings

Natto (I recommend chopped)
1 pack
Green onions or scallions
1 stalk
Cooked rice
just about 2 bowls (1 bowl = 200 g)
Salt, Black pepper
to taste
Soy sauce
to taste
1 tablespoon

1. Spread out the rice on a plate and heat it up in the microwave. Put the natto in a small bowl and mix in the included sauce. Add the egg and use 3-4 chopsticks to beat well.
2. Heat the frying pan over high heat and then add the oil. Pour in the fluffily mixed egg and natto in one go. Use a spatula to stir it once and then add the rice. Combine with a spatula in cutting motions.
3. Cook it over medium heat until the stickiness is gone and it becomes fluffy. Halfway through, add the finely chopped scallions. Season with salt and a good amount of pepper. Add in a few drops of soy sauce to complete the dish.

Story Behind this Recipe

There's a dish where you mix the egg into the natto and beat it until airy. The fluffy egg mixes in deliciously with the rice. It worked well with this fried rice. Season with lots of black pepper and add just a bit of soy sauce to create a colorful and wonderfully fragrant dish.
