Make Hanpen Fish Cakes! A Must Read for Those Abroad!

As long as you have a food processor, you can make these in no time. You need hanpen for oden and datemaki for New Years! If you can't buy it at a store, make it at home!

Ingredients: 2 plates worth

Cod (white fish)
150 g
Egg white
1
Freeze dried yamatoimo yam
2 tablespoons
Mirin
1 tablespoon
Sugar
1/2 tablespoon
Salt
a pinch

Steps

1. Measure the ingredients.
2. Put it all in a food processor.
3. Wet 2 small square plates or molds, and spread the mixture, trying not to create air pockets.
4. Slide the mixture plate and all into a pot of boiling water. Simmer for 8 minutes.
5. Done!
