Quick Stir-fry Tofu with Tempura Crumbs

I wanted to make Recipe ID: 297589, but I didn't have nameko mushrooms! So I made the dish without it. It's good on its own or with rice.

Ingredients: 1 tofu worth

1 packet
Tempura crumbs
3 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Scallions (optional)
Adjust to your liking.


1. Toast the tempura crumbs in a heated frying pan. When the pan starts to get hot,
2. Stir in the diced tofu (it should make a sizzling noise). Then, add the tempura crumbs. Pour in the sake and stir quickly.
3. Add the sugar and soy sauce. Mix well and it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

You could use silken or firm tofu. I like the soft texture of silken tofu and so I usually cook with silken.
