Butter-Sautéed Spinach

Butter-Sautéed Spinach

This dish will make your bento nice and colourful.
You can also serve this dish as a regular side dish.

1 bunch
2 to 3 slices
Corn kernels
1 tablespoon
10 g
Salt and white pepper
a small amount

1. Boil the spinach until crisp-tender, and squeeze out the excess water. Remove stems, and cut into 4 equal pieces. Cut the bacon into 5 mm slices.
2. Heat butter in a pan, crumble in the bacon and spinach. When everything is combined, add the corn and continue stir-frying (at hight heat the whole time). Adjust the flavour with salt and pepper and it's done.
3. You can freeze it. I usually divide it into small portions for bento and wrap them, then freeze them. You can microwave them in the morning and put them in bento cups or you can freeze them in the bento cups to make your life easier.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is my regular bento dish, which my mother has been cooking for a long time. This is my family's favorite.
