Simple Tri-Colour Rice Bowl (One Bowl Dish)

This is a bowl of rice with three toppings! Crispy snow peas, eggs, and juicy ground beef! You can’t stop eating this!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Snow peas
1 pack
Ground beef
200 g
1 tablespoon
1/2 tablespoon
◎Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
Hot cooked rice
1 big bowlful


1. Pull the strings at the seams of the snow peas and discard. Blanch the snow peas for 1-2 minutes in boiling water. When they turn a nice green colour, drain and chill in cold water.
2. Slice the snow peas into 3 mm diagonal strips.
3. Beat the eggs and season with salt and pepper to taste (not listed).
4. Heat oil in a pan and pour in the beaten eggs. Mix them up with two pairs of chopsticks to make the scrambled eggs.
5. Heat oil in a pan and add the ground beef. Stir until the pieces break up and crumble. Add the ◎ ingredients.
6. Make a bed of rice in a big bowl and decorate with snow peas, eggs, and beef on top. It's done!

Story Behind this Recipe

When I was in primary school, my grandmother used to make this for Saturday lunch. It looks colourful, so it was my favourite.
