Pique Your Appetite with this Spinach Tossed with Tuna and Sesame
This recipe is so easy; all you have to do is parboil and toss everything together. The sweet and savory flavor goes perfectly with rice! Serve it as a bento item. Even my husband who doesn't eat vegetables ate this.
Boil water in a pot. Cut the spinach leaves in half. Parboil the stalks, then the leaves for 1 to 2 minutes.
Squeeze excess water from the spinach, then chop into 2-3 cm lengths. Gently drain the liquid from the canned tuna, then combine the spinach and tuna in a bowl.
Toss with the ● ingredients. See the Hints.
This is the tuna can I used.
Story Behind this Recipe
This dish is apparently served at school lunches, so I modified this for serving at home.
Adjust the amount of seasoning according to the amount of spinach. I recommend using raw ginger for the grated ginger. Since we have kids, I only use a little. Feel free to use a large can of tuna. Adjust the seasonings to taste.
