Kimchi Natto Tofu for Dieters

This is a great appetizer to eat with your evening tipple when you're on a diet. It's not really a recipe, but maybe you'd like to try it to lose the weight you gained over the holidays?

Ingredients: 2 servings

Tofu
1/2 block
Kimchi
to taste
Natto
1 pack
Green onion (if available)
to taste
Sesame oil
a drizzle

Steps

1. Cut the tofu into bite size pieces and put on a plate. Mix the natto with the sauce and mustard that comes with the pack. Chop the green onion finely.
2. Pile the natto, kimchi and green onion on top of the tofu and you're done!!!
3. If you're not on a diet, this is even better with some sesame oil. I have it like that occasionally....

Story Behind this Recipe

Yakko (tofu with toppings) is a standby item throughout the year as an appetizer with drinks. When I returned back from my parents' house (they don't have a scale) and weighed myself, I was in shock. I couldn't believe my weight and body fat content.... and was determined to go on a diet!! By the way, I occasionally have this with sesame oil or ra-yu. I also have it with mekabu seaweed, or grated nagaimo, or a poached egg.... its so good.
