Deep-fried Tuna

You can use tuna offcuts, sashimi or other parts!

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Fresh sashimi grade tuna
300 g
★Soy sauce
4 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
★Garlic (grated)
1/2 teaspoon
★Ginger (finely grated)
1/2 teaspoon
Katakuriko (or flour)
as needed


1. Mix together the ★ ingredients, cut the tuna, and marinade for about 30 minutes.
2. Coat Step 1 with katakuriko or flour and fry in oil (the picture shows tuna fried with katakuriko).

Story Behind this Recipe

At the end of the year, my father always buys tuna offcuts, so we make this. My family uses soy sauce, sake, and mirin.
