Addictive Chinese Style Yakisoba Noodles

Once you start eating this, you won't be able to stop and you'll gobble it up in no time!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Uncooked yakisoba noodles
2 packs
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Finely chopped garlic
1 clove
★ Hot water
1 cup (200 ml)
★ Soy sauce
2 to 3 tablespoons (adjust to taste)
★ Sake and mirin
2 tablespoons each
★ Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
★ Weipa
1 teaspoon (optional)
Salt and pepper
a small amount each
Sliced red chili peppers
a small amount (optional, to taste)
Pork (chopped or thinly sliced pork belly)
100 g (about)
Bean sprouts
1/2 bag
Chinese chives
1/2 bunch
Bok choy
1/2 of a head
Just use any vegetables you like! (Cabbage, Chinese cabbage, carrot, mushrooms, shrimp, etc.)


1. Heat some sesame oil in a wok or frying pan, and stir-fry the finely chopped garlic and sliced red chili pepper. When it becomes fragrant, add the pork and stir-fry.
2. When the pork is cooked add the ★ ingredients as well as the noodles. Stir fry while de-tangling the noodles. Taste the noodles as you cook them.
3. When the noodles are well flavored, add the vegetables and simmer while stir-frying. Make sure not to overcook it.
4. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Add some finely chopped red chili pepper to taste!

Story Behind this Recipe

My friend taught me a version of this yakisoba noodle dish, but her version was just flavored with Weipa soup stock paste, so I adapted it after a lot of thought. I prefer my version which is rich rather than salty!
