Miso-Dama (Handmade instant miso soup)

These small balls of miso are quite handy to have around when you're out, whether at work or on vacation. You can also prepare a handful beforehand and keep them stored in your fridge!

Ingredients: using 300 ml of hot water

1 tablespoon
Dashi stock granules
2/3 teaspoon
Toppings of your choice
to taste


1. Combine all the ingredients together. Wrap and ball in small sheet of cling film.
2. When you're ready to enjoy your miso soup, place the miso ball in a bowl and pour in some hot water.

Story Behind this Recipe

My husband would always buy instant miso soup for an after-dinner snack on our short vacations, so I though I would make our own to cut down on costs and save time!
