Vietnamese All-Purpose Sauce

Vietnamese All-Purpose Sauce

This is a sauce I came across in Vietnam that I made with my favorite seasonings. Use it on spring rolls, as a sauce for Asian food, or on a salad.

Ingredients: an easy to make amount

Nuoc mam (Vietnamese fish sauce)
3 tablespoons
Brown sugar
3 tablespoons
6 tablespoons
Rice vinegar
1 tablespoon
Lemon juice (or lime)
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
4 cloves
Red chili peppers (or chili paste)
3 (to taste)
Salt and pepper
to taste


1. Preparation: Mash and finely chop the garlic. Slice the red chili peppers into small slices.
2. Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
3. Add vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce to taste.
