Komatsuna Greens Stir-Fried with Garlic and Salt

Everyone has their favorite way to enjoy komatsuna greens, and here's mine--komatsuna seasoned with spicy red pepper and garlic.

Ingredients: 2 servings

1 bunch
2 cloves
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
Red chili pepper (sliced)
to taste
1 heaping tablespoon
Coarsely ground black pepper
a generous amount
Natural salt
1/2 heaping teaspoon


1. Rinse the komatsuna and chop into bite-sized pieces.
2. Fry the sliced garlic in sesame oil. Add the sliced red chili pepper.
3. Add komatsuna and drizzle with sake. Cover and steam. Once the komatsuna is tender, season with salt and pepper. Lightly stir.
4. It's ready to serve.
5. Enjoy the vibrant green color and the taste of fresh komatsuna.
