Plain uncooked ramen noodles (crushed into bite-sized chunks)
Green onions (chopped)
Raw or roasted almonds (crushed, chopped or slivered)
Sesame seeds (toasted)
For the dressing:
Coarsely ground black pepper
Combine the dressing ingredients in a bowl.
Mix the salad ingredients in a separate large bowl.
Toss everything together at least 5 minutes before eating to let the dressing soak into the dry ramen noodles, (or maggots, rather!!), and make them plump and juicy! ;-)

I learned this from my sister, who made it as a fun potluck dish during a memorable summertime family reunion.
Use organic ingredients and whole wheat ramen noodles without any additives for best results! You can also dress it up with slices of mikan, carmelized pecans, or reduce the amount of oil to make it a little lighter.
