Maggot Salad (Crunchy Cabbage Salad with Raw Ramen Noodles)

Anyone care for a tangy, squiggly, crunchy treat? Try this refreshing salad made with crispy cabbage and aromatic almonds and sesame seeds tossed with crushed ramen noodles! I dare you!! :)

Ingredients: Serves 4

For the salad:
Cabbage (finely sliced)
1/2 head
Plain uncooked ramen noodles (crushed into bite-sized chunks)
1 package
Green onions (chopped)
4
Raw or roasted almonds (crushed, chopped or slivered)
4 tablespoons
Sesame seeds (toasted)
4 tablespoons
For the dressing:
Sugar
2 tablespoons
Coarsely ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Sea salt
1 teaspoon
Olive oil
1/2 cup
Rice vinegar
2 tablespoons

Steps

1. Combine the dressing ingredients in a bowl.
2. Mix the salad ingredients in a separate large bowl.
3. Toss everything together at least 5 minutes before eating to let the dressing soak into the dry ramen noodles, (or maggots, rather!!), and make them plump and juicy! ;-)
