Mix and Bake Cake

This one is for kabocha squash-hating kids.
They'll eat it up in no time.


Kabocha squash
500 g
80 g
Heavy cream
200 ml
Cake flour
1 tablespoon
a small amount


1. Make a caramel sauce, and pour it into the bottom of a cake pan.
2. Boil the kabocha squash until it tender.
3. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, and mix well with a hand mixer.
4. Pour the mixture into the cake pan, and steam in a steamer. Bring water to a boil and cook the cake mixture for 2-3 minutes over medium heat, and let it steam for 30-40 minutes over low heat. Insert a bamboo skewer and when it comes out clean, it's ready to be served.

I created this recipe because I wanted my kids to eat kabocha squash.
They eat it well when it's served like this.
