Well-Boiled Chicken with a Fragrant Sauce

Well-Boiled Chicken with a Fragrant Sauce

This juicy boiled chicken is delicious on its own, but even better when served with my prized aromatic sauce.

Boiled chicken Recipe ID: 2564923
1 piece (300-350 g)
All-Purpose Sauce Recipe ID: 2584128
├ Japanese leeks (finely chopped)
1-2 tablespoons
├ Ginger (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon
├ Doubanjiang
1/2-1 teaspoon
├ Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
├ Vinegar
1 tablespoon
├ Sugar
1 teaspoon
└ Sesame oil
1 teaspoon

1. Once you have boiled the chicken well, let it cool Recipe ID: 2564923
2. If you cut the chicken while still hot, it will break apart, so slice or shred with your hands once completely cooled.
3. Make the all-purpose sauce. Recipe ID: 2584128
4. Arrange the tomatoes, other vegetables, and chicken on a plate, then generously top the chicken with the sauce. The sauce is great on the vegetables as well.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is a delicious variation on boiled chicken. For children, you can decrease the amount of doubanjiang and add sugar for a sweet and sour taste.
