Baked Potato

Baked Potato

I recommend making this with new potatoes. This side-dish is perfect for dinner parties and is deliciously soft while also retaining its crispness.

Ingredients: 1 serving

1 slice
Green onions or scallions
a small amount
Sour cream
1 teaspoon
Olive oil
1/2 teaspoon
a small amount

1. Wash the potato well and place it on top of two parallel chopsticks. Without cutting through all the way, cut 3 mm thick slices in the potato.
2. Let the potato soak in water while replacing the water periodically. After drying the potato, coat it with olive oil and salt, then open up the layers. Wrap the potato in tin foil and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C (356 F).
3. Place the finely chopped bacon between each layer of the potato and on top. Bake it again at 200°C (or 392 F) until the potato is lightly browned.
4. Garnish the potato with sour cream and chives. Grind whatever herbs or peppers you like over the top and it's ready to serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I saw a picture of a baked potato and tried modifying the recipe to make it my own way. It looks delicious too.
