Easily Made in the Microwave!! Kabocha Squash Salad

This is easily made in the microwave! You can quickly make a delicious kabocha squashsalad. Hot beans and creamy cheese give this a fun and delicious texture!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Kabocha squash (peeled or unpeeled, to taste)
net 250 g
60 g
Fish sausages (or bacon, wieners, etc)
2 thin sausages
Cheese squares
Steamed kuromame (or edamame)
40 g


1. Cut the kabocha into bite-sized chunks, place in a heatproof dish, add a little water, and microwave at 1000 W for 5 minutes. Adjust the time according to your microwave.
2. While waiting for it to cook in the microwave, cut the sausages and cheese into chunks the size of your beans.
3. When the kabocha is easily pierced with a skewer, drain the water and mash while still hot.
4. Mix with the mayonnaise, then mix in the other ingredients. It's done!!

Story Behind this Recipe

I received a lot of kabocha, so I wanted to make something similar to potato salad. I added ingredients which I and my kids love.
