Break the egg into a deep bowl and beat it. Mix in the milk and salt.
Place the uncovered dish in the microwave and heat for 50 seconds. When the egg has cooked, scramble it with some chopsticks.
I made Japanese-style scrambled eggs by adding sugar and omitting the milk.
Story Behind this Recipe
I modified a recipe for scrambled eggs that I found in a recipe book that I bought just after I got married. If you omit the milk you can make a more Japanese-style of scrambled eggs. Add some sugar as well if you'd like, it'll taste great that way too.
Adjust the cooking time for the eggs according to your microwave model. I made these eggs in a 500 W microwave. Scramble the eggs as soon as they come out of the microwave. If they are a bit runny after scrambling, simply put them back in the microwave for 5 more seconds.
