Sweetly Pickled Kohlrabi

I bought some kohlrabi to make crunchy and refreshing pickles.

Ingredients

Kohlrabi

Wine vinegar
2 teaspoons
Sugar
2 teaspoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon

Steps

1. This is kohlrabi. Remove the leaves and peel the skin thickly.
2. Cut in half vertically and then cut into 2-3 mm slices.
3. Add the kohlrabi and the flavoring ingredients to a plastic bag and rub everything together.
4. Remove the air from the plastic bag, close it up, and put it into the refrigerator. Eat the next day.

Story Behind this Recipe

Kohlrabi is not very well known in Japan, but here in Germany it's cheap all year long. I thought of a recipe that is easy to make and goes well with rice.
