Spinach and Natto with Tempura Crumbs

All you have to do is boil the spinach and mix everything together This is a simple yet nourishing side dish. You'll become addicted to the crunchy tempura crumbs with natto.

Ingredients: 3-4 servings

Spinach
1 bunch
Natto
2 packs
Tempura crumbs
to taste
Sesame oil
a small amount
Mentsuyu or the sauce included in the natto pack
to taste
Shredded nori (optional)
as needed

Steps

1. Parboil the spinach and soak in water. Cut into bite-sized pieces and tightly squeeze out the excess water.
2. Combine Step 1 with the natto, sesame oil, and menstuyu. Arrange on a plate and top with the tempura crumbs and, if available, shredded nori seaweed.
3. Lastly, just mix it all up and enjoy.

Story Behind this Recipe

My children eat a lot of vegetables, so one bunch of spinach disappears between the 4 of us in an instant. So I added natto for extra volume and topped the dish with tempura crumbs.
