Steamy Sesame & Miso Shabu Shabu Hot Pot

Ingredients: 4 servings

Very thinly sliced pork (for shabu-shabu)
400 g
Bean sprouts
3 bags
Grilled tofu
1 block
Napa cabbage
Japanese leek
Shiitake mushrooms
Grated garlic
4 pieces
Shichimi spice
to taste
Dashi Ingredients
Dashi stock
5 cups (1000 ml)
Roasted grated white sesame seeds
60 g
4 tablespoons
White miso
2 tablespoons
1 teaspoon
1/2 tablespoon


1. Cut the meat and veggies into your preferred sizes.
2. Put the dashi soup ingredients into an earthenware pot and bring to a boil.
3. Add the meat. When the soup begins to boil again, remove the scum from the top and add the vegetables.
4. When it begins to simmer slightly, season with shichimi spice and enjoy.
