To Improve Your Blood Circulation: Sweet Onion Rice

The softened onion and fragrant sakura shrimp are perfect together. The mildly seasoned rice will no doubt calm your senses.

Ingredients: 2 rice cooker cups worth

Sweet new harvest onion
160 g
Uncooked white rice
2 rice cooker cups
Sakura shrimp
3 tablespoons
★Cooking sake
1 tablespoon
★Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
★Salt, soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon each


1. Rinse the rice and soak in water for about 30 minutes.
2. Slice the onion to 5 mm width. Pour hot water over the aburaage to drain excess oil, and cut into 5 mm wide strips.
3. Put the rice from Step 1 in a rice cooker. Add water up to the 2 cup mark, add the ingredients from Step 2, and the ★ ingredients. Stir well and set the rice cooker to cook.
