Soften the butter and add the sugar to it. Cream well until it's pale and fluffy.
Add the beaten egg in several batches while mixing well.
Add the cake flour, cocoa and chocolate chips and form into a dough. Wrap the dough in kitchen parchment paper, etc., form its shape, and rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Slice about 5mm thick. Bake in a preheated 170°C oven for about 20 minutes.
Here, I added sliced almonds instead of chocolate chips.
Story Behind this Recipe
I made my favorite kind of cookies, and they were delicious!!!
The cookies spread out a bit when baked, so line them up on the baking sheet with some room between them. If you chill the dough for a bit in a freezer, it will be easier to slice. You can use the dough to make cut-out cookies too.
