Chicken Rice Doria in the Rice Cooker

I cooked chicken rice in the rice cooker, covered it in white sauce and then baked it in the oven. Rich and delicious, it's perfect for lunch.

Ingredients: 4 servings

500 ml
25 g
◎Cake flour
25 g
Chicken rice
as needed
Melting sliced cheese
4 slices
Fresh parsley
as you like
Butter (or margarine)
as needed


1. Make the white sauce with the ingredients marked ◎. See Recipe ID: 618938.
2. Make the chicken rice. See Recipe ID: 1893242.
3. Grease a casserole dish with butter, then add the chicken rice. Top it with the white sauce and sliced cheese.
4. Bake it in the oven until browned. Sprinkle on some parsley to finish.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is a doria (rice au gratin) made with my family's standard chicken rice and white sauce. I've been making this for years.
You can make lots of chicken rice and keep it in the freezer. It's good to pack in your bento as well.
