How to Make Shredded White Leek

I often see shredded white leek It's basically julienned leeks.


Japanese leek (the white part)


1. Cut the white part of the Japanese leek into 5 cm long lengths.
2. Cut slits into the leeks, then remove the green cores.
3. Finely chop the white parts.
4. Let rest in cold water for about 10 minutes.
5. Drain well in a sieve.
6. Done.
7. <Cutting Method 1> Cut as-is, vertically.
8. <Cutting Method 2> If you cut it diagonally, they'll become curly.
