Easy and Delicious Tonkatsu

Our family's delicious tonkatsu can be made easily!!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Pork loin
2 slices
Salt and pepper
to taste
Plain flour
as needed
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
as needed


1. Beat the eggs and mix them with the vegetable oil. If using 1 egg, use 1/2 tablespoon of oil.
2. Pound the pork loin to tenderize and set aside. If you don't have a meat pounder, use the back of a knife.
3. Season the meat with salt and pepper and then coat with flour.
4. Dip in the beaten egg, coat with panko, dip again in the beaten egg, then coat with panko a second time.
5. Deep fry in 180°C oil until golden.

My husband loves fried food, so I attempted many different techniques which finally resulted in this delicious tonkatsu. This became the staple recipe for our family.
