Ultra-Simple Tuna and Tofu

Ultra-Simple Tuna and Tofu

Should it be this easy?! You don't even need a cutting board! This can be made in a jiffy while you're doing something else.

Tofu (silken or firm)
1 to 2 blocks
Canned tuna in oil
1 can
Grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
Enough to swoosh around the inner sides of the pot once
Green onions or scallions
1 stalk

1. Put the cut up tofu, tuna (with the oil), grated ginger and sake in a small pan, cover with the lid and start cooking on medium heat.
2. When it's boiling and water is coming out of the tofu, put in a swoosh of soy sauce in the pan, and add some ripped up green onion.
3. Reduce heat to low, and put the lid back on. Simmer for a while longer, shaking the pan occasionally. It's done when the tofu starts to take on some color.

Story Behind this Recipe

This recipe was born when I was trying to make one more dish with items I usually have on hand.
