✜ Simmered Amberjack Kimchi ✜

Amberjack and kimchi are a great pairing. It also goes well with rice.
When you get tired of teriyaki, try this!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Amberjack (buri) fillets
2 pieces
Kimchi (Chinese cabbage)
140 g
300 ml
★Chicken soup stock granules
1 teaspoon
★Soy sauce
1 scant teaspoon
★Sake and mirin
2 teaspoons each
★Doubanjiang (as desired)
about 1/2 teaspoon
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
Green onions (chopped)
to taste


1. Put all the ★ ingredients into a pot and turn the heat on high. When it starts to simmer, reduce the heat to medium, add the amberjack, and simmer for 7~8 minutes with the lid on.
2. Add the kimchi and simmer for about 5~6 more minutes to let the flavors absorb. Lastly, add the sesame oil and stir it in.
3. Transfer to a plate, garnish with green onions, and it's done!
