Sake-Steamed Springtime Clams and Nanohana

Sake-Steamed Springtime Clams and Nanohana

This dish includes hamaguri clams and nanohana. It's a combination of springtime produce steamed in sake for a grown-up taste.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Hamaguri clams
Dashi stock
100 ml
2 tablespoons
Usukuchi soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
Green onions
finely chopped, small amount

1. Wash the clams. Cut the nanohana into 3 pieces lengthwise.
2. Place the stalk of the nanohana in a microwave safe dish. Cover with the clams, and top the clams with the nanohana leaves.
3. Add the dashi, sake, soy sauce, and mirin to Step 2 and lightly wrap with plastic wrap. Microwave for 3-4 minutes at 1000 W. When the clams have opened, it's finished. Garnish with green onions and enjoy it while it's hot.
