5 Minute Caramel Sauce

Just microwave! An easy caramel sauce.


Granulated sugar
1/2 cup
1 heaping tablespoon
Heavy cream
about 1 cup


1. Leave heavy cream at room temperature. Put granulated sugar and water in a bowl and microwave for 3 ~ 4 minutes.
2. Adjust the time according on your own microwave. Take the bowl out when the sugar water turns brown and is steaming.
3. Now pour in the heavy cream little by little as you stir. Strain caramel sauce through a strainer to ensure a smooth texture.
4. If you use a small amount of boiling water instead of heavy cream, you'll have a clear caramel sauce suitable for puddings. But please be careful when you add the boiling water as it will splatter.
