Spinach and Crispy Aburaage with Sesame Seed Sauce

Spinach and Crispy Aburaage with Sesame Seed Sauce

It's very easy. The sesame seeds and crispy aburaage go perfectly well together.

Ingredients: 2-4 servings

1 bag
Ground sesame seeds or sesame seeds
4 tablespoons
1 1/2 tablespoons
★Soy sauce
2 tablespoons

1. Toast the aburaage until both sides become crispy. You can use a frying pan as well.
2. Boil the spinach including the roots. Soak in cold water, and squeeze the excess water out with paper towels.
3. Place the sesame seeds in a heatproof dish and microwave for about 30 seconds.
4. Combine the ★ ingredients. Add the sesame seeds and mix well.
5. Cut the spinach into 3-4 cm lengths and cut the aburaage into the same size as the spinach. Mix well with the combined ingredients, and you're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I added a twist to my usual spinach with sesame seed sauce. Adding the crispy aburaage made the dish more delicious and doubled the volume.
