Cut your tofu into small cubes, and chop your green onions.
Boil the water in a pot, and dissolve the dashi stock granules.
Once the water comes to a boil, lower the heat, and mix in the miso, dissolving it gradually into the water. Add in the tofu and dried wakame seaweed, and bring to a gentle simmer.
Adjust the taste of your soup as desired, and turn off the heat. Ladle into soup bowls, and sprinkle on some of the chopped green onions as desired.
Story Behind this Recipe
This is super easy recipe, since it uses dashi stock granules and dried wakame seaweed. It's definitely the way to go if you're short on time.
Don't let the pot of water come to a boil after you'd added in the miso. Just let it gently simmer, on low. Also keep in mind that the amount of miso you'll need will depend on the kind of miso you have at home. The picture above shows this miso soup with sliced onions added in. If you want onions in your miso soup, Step 2 would be when you'd want to drop them in. Dissolving the miso in should come after they've cooked through.
