Cut the broccoli and wiener sausages into bite-sized pieces and put them in a plastic bag. It does not matter whether or not you close the bag.
Microwave the bag at 600 W for about 2 minutes! If you close the plastic bag, it will puff up, so be careful not to burst it! The moisture should be released from the ingredients and steam them.
Take them out and transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle on some ponzu and mayonnaise, and enjoy. Sprinkle on a small amount of pepper to taste.
Story Behind this Recipe
My mother has several fuss-free recipes. This recipe is one of her easiest, but it has a great flavor. I remember being surprised that the idea to cook broccoli in the microwave is so much like my mother.
The stems of the broccoli can be eaten if sliced thinly. You can use a microwave-safe container instead of the plastic bag if you like. It is easier to mix it up in a container.
