Flounder with Roe Simmer

Even beginners can make this delicious flounder simmer easily and quickly. I didn't like simmering fish previously, but this recipe won me over.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Flounder fillet
2
Seasonings
Sugar
1.5 tablespoons
Sake
2 tablespoons
Mirin
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Water
2 tablespoons
Sashimi soy sauce (if unavailable, 2 or 3 tablespoons of regular soy sauce)
1 tablespoon
Ginger
3 pieces

Steps

1. Slice the ginger. If using frozen flounder, thaw it first.
2. Add all of the seasoning ingredients to a pot and cook on medium heat.
3. Once it comes to a boil, add the flounder.
4. Cover with an aluminum foil lid and simmer for 5-8 minutes. Adjust the time depending on the size of the fish. Turn over once, or use a spoon to pour the sauce over it.

I didn't like making simmered fish, but I was taught this recipe for a simple yet delicious simmer. I tried it out and it was delicious, so it won me over.
