Omurice in 10 Minutes

As long as the timer for the rice cooker is set, it only takes 10 minutes to make the omurice (Japanese rice-stuffed omelet)!


Cooked rice
2 rice cooker worth (360 ml raw rice)
Wiener sausages
4 pieces
Frozen mixed vegetables
100 g
Consomme cube (minced)
1 cube
1 tablespoon
2-3 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
Salt and pepper
to taste


1. Cut the wiener sausages into 1 cm lengths. Wrap the sausages and the frozen mixed vegetables with plastic wrap and microwave at 600 W for 3 minutes. Take it out of the microwave once, mix, and heat again for 2 more minutes.
2. Combine the ingredients from Step 1, soup stock, butter, and ketchup with fresh cooked rice. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Beat the eggs and add the salt, pepper and milk. Heat the oil (not listed) in a non-stick skillet, spread the egg mixture to make a thin omelet. Wrap the instant ketchup rice from Step 2 with the thin omelet. Serve it with a squirt of ketchup if desired.
