Vegetarian-Friendly ♪ Yamaimo Okonomiyaki

This yam okonomiyaki is vegetarian-friendly as it is without meat, seafood, or eggs.

Ingredients

Yamaimo
400 g
Cabbage (shredded)
250 g
Kombu based dashi stock granules
10 g
Melting type cheese
50 g
Egg-free mayonnaise
50 g
Plain flour (or cake flour)
6 tablespoons
Olive oil
as needed
Sauce (vegetable-based)
to taste
Egg-free mayonnaise
to taste

Steps

1. Peel the skin from the yam and grate. Add roughly sliced cabbage to the grated yam.
2. After mixing until well integrated, add the kombu soup stock, melting type cheese, mayonnaise, and flour, and stir thoroughly.
3. Pour a generous amount of olive oil in a frying pan, then fry the batter in pancakes. Feel free to shape them into any size you like.
4. When they are done, top with sauce and mayonnaise, and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I thought it would be good to be able to enjoy delicious food even as a vegetarian (without eating meat, seafood, or eggs).
To create a rich taste, I added mayonnaise (egg-free) to the recipe.
