Herb & Shiitake Cheese Omelette

Try this omelette seasoned with Italian herb mix and coarsely grated garlic.


Pork belly (thinly sliced)
50 g
Shiitake mushrooms
50 g
Sliced cheese
1 slice
Mixed Italian herbs
1/2 teaspoon
Coarsely grated garlic
1/2 teaspoon
Extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon


1. Slice the caps of the shiitake mushrooms, and shred the stems thinly.
2. Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces.
3. Put some oil in the frying pan, and cook the shiitake mushrooms. Add the meat, herb mix, and chopped garlic and cook through. Once all of the ingredients are cooked, place the cheese on top.
4. Meanwhile, beat the egg.
5. The cheese has melted by now, right? Shake the frying pan to mix things up, add the egg, and shake to mix again.
6. When the edges of the egg start to firm up, flip the omelette. It's okay if the middle is still a little soft.
7. Fold the omelette, but don't worry about getting it perfect.
8. There you go! It's ready to eat.
