Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread

Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread

This is an easy sweet bread made by just mixing and topping! The harmony of the sweet banana and jam, the salty cheese, and the nutty texture makes this a chewy and delicious bread!

Ingredients: 2 slice

Sliced bread
1 slice
Banana (roughly mashed)
1
Cream cheese (room temperature)
2 pieces (36g)
Jam of your choice
1 tablespoon
Mixed nuts (for snacking, roughly chopped)
30g

Steps

1. Bring the cream cheese to room temperature to soften. Roughly chop the nuts and mash the banana with a fork.
2. Mix the cream cheese, banana, nuts, and jam in a bowl. If you're making this during the summer, it's delicious if you let it chill in the refrigerator for a bit.
3. This is a toasted version! When you get a craving for bread that's crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, use this spread on toast!
4. Regular version. Those times when you want it moist and chewy, top the bread with the spread without toasting.

Story Behind this Recipe

I love to mix various ingredients into cream cheese, and spread it on bread!
This is a recipe I created when thinking of how to consume leftover mixed nuts.
